Typhoon Saudel closes schools and suspends ferries as it strikes eastern China
Authorities in Fujian province closed schools and halted 24 ferry routes on Thursday as Typhoon Saudel made its third landfall on China's eastern coast. The storm had previously lashed Zhejiang province twice. Around 247,700 people in high-risk areas of Fujian had been evacuated the previous week after warnings of heavy rain.
