Chevron to invest $7 billion in Venezuela oil expansion
Chevron said it will invest more than $7 billion over five years to expand its operations in Venezuela, with output projected to reach around 600,000 barrels per day, roughly double current levels. The company has received additional acreage in the Orinoco Belt, where it already operates joint ventures. The expansion follows a White House deal to develop Venezuela's oil reserves.
