Netanyahu meets U.S. ambassadors as southern Lebanon tensions persist
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the U.S. ambassadors to Israel and Lebanon in Jerusalem on Tuesday amid escalating violence in southern Lebanon. The UN peacekeeping force recorded an average of 147 projectile trajectories per day between August 21 and 27, and said the situation remains fragile despite diplomatic efforts to implement a framework agreement reached in late June.
