Trump says it's too early to discuss Hegseth's potential 2028 campaign

President Trump said on August 31 that it was premature to discuss Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth running for president in 2028, saying Hegseth is doing a fantastic job but the focus must be on November's midterm elections. The former Fox News host and Army National Guard veteran had previously called reports of his 2028 ambitions 100 per cent false.
