Trump vows response to Iran as military exchange reignites conflict

President Donald Trump said the United States will hit Iran hard after an exchange of fire ended weeks of relative quiet, sending oil prices higher. Vice President JD Vance said Trump's social media post about Kharg Island was intended as a signal to Iran, though military officials confirmed no strikes occurred there.
