GameStop braces for weaker second-quarter results as it shuts locations and exits France
The videogame retailer said Monday that second-quarter net sales will likely fall to between $780 million and $800 million from $972.2 million a year earlier. Store closures and the divestiture of its France business are driving the decline. Cash reserves are also expected to shrink, to a range of $5.05 billion to $5.07 billion from $8.69 billion in the prior-year period.
