US and Iran exchange strikes in first confrontation in a month

The United States struck launcher positions on Larak Island in the Persian Gulf. Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they attacked American military installations in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in retaliation, claiming self-defence. An initial attack resulted in two deaths and two wounded, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency.
