Iran claims drone strikes on UAE base in retaliation for US attack

According to Iranian state media, the country's army launched a drone assault on Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates early Monday, striking American military personnel and aircraft. Tehran said the operation was retaliation for US casualties inflicted on IRGC personnel and civilians during a preceding strike on Larak Island.

A supertanker caught fire and was brought to a complete halt after hitting two naval mines in the southern strait of Hormuz, Iran's state TV reported on Monday, citing a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iran said it also attacked US bases in Jordan in addition to the strike on Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE.
