Venezuela says it retains sovereignty in historic US oil deal
Venezuela's interim leader Delcy Rodriguez said the country retains ownership and control of its resources under a new agreement that gives the U.S. majority control of 65 billion barrels of proven reserves. The 25-year bilateral project targets development of 17 strategic oilfields with production of more than 1.5 million barrels per day, with $19 from each barrel sold to the U.S.
