Syrian reactor could have produced nuclear weapons material, IAEA chief says

The incident claimed five lives on the ground when the Boeing 767-33A, a 32-year-old jet operated by Miami-based 21 Air LLC, left the runway and struck two vehicles.

51 min agoThe chief of the UN nuclear watchdog said a nearly complete reactor built secretly during Bashar al-Assad's rule would have been able to produce fissile material for possible use in nuclear weapons. The reactor was destroyed by Israeli jets in 2007. Inspectors from the IAEA visited two sites last month and discovered approximately 73 metric tons of natural uranium metal.

The leaked work concerned possible taxation of employee savings plans. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu's office stated he had never supported the idea.

Trump said on Truth Social that Bombardier products are not good enough and that the company must build in America or stop treating it as a piggybank.

5 h agoBernie Ecclestone, 95, was detained at a Portuguese airport on Monday after customs and police found him in possession of a shotgun for which he lacked the required documentation. Ecclestone said he intended to use the weapon in a clay pigeon shooting competition and surrendered it after questioning, though he denied being arrested.
