Trump administration to begin arch construction in Washington despite legal challenges

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said excavation on a 250-foot arch at Memorial Circle on Columbia Island would start within two weeks. The project is being challenged in court over whether it needs congressional approval and is still awaiting approval from the National Capital Planning Commission.
