Dropbox: about 5,000 accounts breached in August hack

Dropbox disclosed Tuesday that approximately 5,000 of its accounts fell victim to a breach last month, with unauthorized access between August 4 and August 21. In fewer than a third of the affected accounts, intruders were able to view and download stored files.
