Nepal holds funerals for missing a week after glacial collapse floods

A week after a glacial collapse triggered flash floods and mudslides along the China-Nepal border on Aug 26, Nepali families held symbolic funeral ceremonies for loved ones still missing. Emergency teams recovered more than 1,000 bodies, with nearly 4,500 people unaccounted for. Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah linked the catastrophe to increasing climate change risks in the Himalayan region.
