Trump nominates Hung Cao as Navy secretary

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he is nominating Hung Cao to become the next Navy secretary. Cao, a Vietnamese refugee and Navy veteran, has been serving as acting secretary since April 2026, and Trump urged the Senate to confirm him quickly.
