EU antitrust regulators scrutinizing Oracle's licensing practices

The European Commission is gathering information from third parties about how Oracle handles licensing, according to a person familiar with the matter. The scrutiny mirrors a case involving German rival SAP, which settled in July by agreeing to make it easier for customers to switch providers or exit contracts. The Commission said there is no formal investigation underway at this stage.
