Eurozone inflation rises to 3.3 percent as energy costs surge
Inflation in the eurozone climbed to 3.3 percent in August from 2.9 percent the previous month, driven primarily by energy prices. An ECB policymaker said the bank must brace for a prolonged Middle East conflict that could keep inflation elevated in the currency bloc.
