Ukraine's sanctions chief to lobby House on Russia bill facing Democratic resistance

Vladyslav Vlasiuk, President Zelensky's sanctions commissioner, will visit Washington on September 1 to urge House members to back the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. The bill passed the Senate 86-11 in August but faces opposition from some Democrats concerned about tariff provisions that could raise costs for US importers and consumers.
