Woman shot dead by police in Times Square after fatal stabbing

A woman stabbed two people in Times Square on August 31, killing one, just before 4:30 p.m. Police deployed tasers, then opened fire after she refused to put down two knives. One victim and the suspect died at the hospital; the second victim was in critical condition.
