Met Museum cancels John Galliano exhibition planned for 2027

The Metropolitan Museum of Art cancelled an exhibition of designer John Galliano's work scheduled for the 2027 Met Gala. Galliano was convicted by a French court in 2011 of antisemitic conduct after making antisemitic and racist remarks in 2010 and 2011. Galliano said in a statement he decided the exhibition should not take place at this time and acknowledged the pain caused by his past words.
