Italy extends suspension of free movement with Spain for 15 days
Italy extended its suspension of Schengen free movement arrangements with Spain for 15 days on August 31, following a mass crossing of at least 72,000 people from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on July 30. In Ceuta, between 5,000 and 8,000 people remain according to Spanish authorities; the death toll includes at least 82 migrants on the Spanish side and 14 confirmed by Morocco.
