Guinea-Bissau votes in referendum on expanding presidential powers
Voting took place Sunday in Guinea-Bissau on a referendum that could expand presidential powers before elections scheduled for December 6. Turnout exceeded 55 per cent according to the National Electoral Commission's Executive Secretary Idrissa Djalo. The referendum occurred less than 10 months after a military coup in the country.
