French police officer and LGBTQ activist hospitalised after attack in Paris

Pierre Picavet, a police officer and head of the LGBTQ rights association FLAG!, was hospitalised after a nighttime assault in the Marais district. He was struck with a bottle and sustained internal bleeding and a head wound, prosecutors said. The suspected attacker was taken into custody.
