Asian shares decline as U.S.-Iran conflict drives oil higher and inflation worries
Markets across Asia retreated on Monday following U.S. strikes on Iranian launchers at Larak island, pushing crude prices up and raising concerns about inflation. Oil futures rose 1.4 per cent to reach $89.38 per barrel, while the Nikkei index fell 2.1 per cent in Japan and South Korea's stocks slid 2.4 per cent, with investors now pricing a 57 per cent chance of a U.S.
