A Russian drone strike on an ammunition depot near Kyiv killed 38 people, the deadliest attack on Ukraine in 2026, with unexploded shells left scattered across civilian areas. The strike damaged about 300 buildings in Myla and surrounding localities. Russia announced it was preparing broad strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.
