Trump announces Venezuelan oil deal to refill depleted US strategic reserve

US President Trump said oil from a deal with Venezuela will replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which has fallen to approximately 290 million barrels—near its lowest point in 44 years. Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodriguez said the 25-year energy agreement targets crude output increases to 1.5 million barrels per day and involves developing 17 strategic oilfields.
