Ukraine defence chief seeks early EU loan release with war plan

Ukraine's defence minister pledged to present partners with a clear vision for how the country will fight Russia with more resources, seeking to bring forward part of a €45 billion EU loan planned for 2027. The accelerated funding would address a $27 billion military budget shortfall. The EU has committed €90 billion in financing through 2027, with €45 billion earmarked for each of 2026 and 2027.
