North Korea appoints new defense minister in military reshuffle
North Korea has appointed Kim Sung-ji as its new defense minister, replacing No Kwang-chol, in a sweeping reshuffle of military leadership announced at a Central Military Commission meeting. The changes also restored Park Jong-chon to the No. 2 post and moved the previous defense minister to oversee munitions production.
