Everton cancels Armstrong sale after supporter outcry

Everton have ended a proposed transfer of midfielder Harrison Armstrong to Nottingham Forest after supporters protested the move. Nottingham Forest had offered £40m with a potential sell-on clause for the 19-year-old England Under-19 international, prompting Everton fans to threaten a "riot" if the deal went through. The club's board has unanimously decided Armstrong will stay.
