Tom Cruise to reprise NASCAR driver role in 'Days of Thunder' sequel for 2028

Tom Cruise announced a follow-up to his 1990 racing film at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, with the sequel scheduled for release on June 2, 2028. The film will star Jonathan Levine as director, with Hathaway playing a team owner and engineer. Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper are producing.
