Iranian ship struck in Hormuz as Tehran and Oman map new strait routes
An Iranian commercial container vessel was hit by an unidentified projectile near Hengam Island in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, killing one person and injuring three. Iran and Oman have agreed on new entry and exit routes for the waterway, with the entry point lying entirely within Iranian territorial waters. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the agreement would not mean a reopening of the strait.
