The dead included two infants and two medics, with nine killed in a strike on a three-story residential building in Kfar Rumman. Israel announced separate strikes on buildings it said were linked to Hizbulá.

The operation, which included the first coordinated intervention with the United States since 2011, lifted the yen from near 40-year lows of 164 per dollar to as high as 155.20.
