Yen posts strongest week in a month on Bank of Japan rate hike bets
The Japanese yen strengthened to 155.25 per dollar on Friday and is tracking for a 2.5 per cent weekly gain, its largest since late July. Traders are betting the Bank of Japan will adopt a more hawkish stance when it meets on September 17 to 18, with Japan's top currency diplomat saying he remained alert to exchange-rate moves and in constant contact with U.S. authorities.
