Civil rights groups push Congress to reject Israel defense measure

More than 60 civil rights and advocacy organizations have written to Congress opposing Section 219 of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, which would expand joint military technology development between the United States and Israel. The House passed the bill in July, and it now faces Senate consideration.
