Major automakers urge Congress to ban Chinese vehicles before year-end
The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, representing General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Honda and Stellantis, called on Congress to pass legislation barring Chinese vehicles, software and hardware from the U.S. market before the year ends. The group's CEO John Bozzella said Chinese automakers are dumping subsidized vehicles globally and warned of the threat to the domestic market.
