Argentina to pause all domestic matches for Messi tribute at 10th minute

The Argentine Football Association announced that all football divisions will halt play during the 10th minute of the first half to allow a one-minute applause honoring Lionel Messi following his retirement from the national team. Messi announced his decision on August 31 via an Instagram post, weeks after Argentina lost the 2026 World Cup final to Spain.
