Apple faces £2 billion UK lawsuit over app tracking rules

Apple faces a £2 billion ($2.7 billion) lawsuit filed Thursday at London's Competition Appeal Tribunal on behalf of app developers. Lawyers allege Apple imposed stricter requirements on third-party developers than on its own services, benefiting its advertising business through an unfair competitive advantage. The App Tracking Transparency feature launched in 2021.
