US journalist sentenced to two years in prison for acting as Chinese agent
Thomas Weir Pauken II, 51, pleaded guilty to working for China's government without proper disclosure and was sentenced to two years in federal prison. The Justice Department said Pauken received at least $100,000 for supporting Chinese Ministry of State Security operations from at least 2019 until his arrest in February.
