Cassandra Wilson, Grammy-winning jazz singer, dies at 70

Cassandra Wilson, a two-time Grammy Award winner known for her low, smoky voice and interpretations of jazz and blues standards, died on Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi, her hometown. Her longtime manager Robert Torre said she died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and close friends. No cause of death was disclosed.
