Every photograph in use on NXEWS, who took it, what licence it is used under and where it came from. Covers with no photograph are drawn by the site itself.

How to read this page

Attribution licences — Creative Commons BY and BY-SA above all — require the author, the licence and a link to be shown wherever the work is used. A single page listing every picture is the cleanest way to do that, and this is it.

Where a licence is on record it is named and linked. Where it is not, the row says so plainly rather than quietly leaving the line blank: an unresolved credit is a job for us, not a detail to hide from you.

Covers you see on stories with no photograph are not photographs at all. They are drawn in code from the story’s section colour and identifier — the same story always draws the same cover — and no licence applies to them.
